MIDDLE OF DIARY OF YOUNG ANN FRANK

For my second book, I choose to read a book called Diary of Young Ann Frank . It is about a girl named Ann Frank and how she talks about her experience about World War 2 and The Holocaust. We meet many characters throughout the book, examples include; Margot Frank, Otto Frank, Edith Frank, Mr. van Daan, Mrs. van Daan, and Peter van Daan. These characters help bring the autobiography to life.

The Franks move to the Netherlands right before World War 2 to escape the persecution in Germany. The Germans later invaded the Netherlands and the Franks had to hide again. Another family, The Van Daans, and a friend, Mr. Dussel both moved in a small secret annex which is right above Otto Frank's office. The employees from Mr. Frank's  form helped hide the Franks and gave them supplies to survive with information on what is happening in the outside world. They got this information from a radio and some of the information that Anne heard would catch her attention.

Anne would write about how she felt. She would feel mostly isolation and loneliness. She had a great relationship with the other adults in the annex especially her mother. She really loved her father. Anne also had a sister of which she though she were smart and pretty but she didn't feel to have that much of a great relationship with her. Anne meets a boy named, Peter Van Daan, and becomes close with him. Mr. Frank didn't really like him so much.

She has really matured a lot in this book. She had dreams and inspirations of what she wanted to do when she was older and now she has to live hidden from the world in a very harsh environment. She went to through a lot in just 2 years, as you can clearly tell.

This is a great book and you should read it. I recommend this to people who really like to know about the past and what happened during the Holocaust and World War 2.
